Sneak Peak

Hi there,

I am excited to give you a sneak peek at some of my works in progress!

I usually have several pieces underway at once, working in a variety of mediums and sizes. This approach allows me to work on acrylic paintings while waiting for layers of oil paint to dry—some of which can take days or even weeks. Once the final layer of an oil painting is complete, I let it cure for a few months before applying a protective varnish.

The piece you see here has been drying for a while now, and for good reason. It is highly detailed, and I needed to take a step back to reflect and recharge before moving forward. I'll be diving back into it soon and will be sure to document the progress with before-and-after shots.

While the image was taken with my phone and is not of the highest quality, it should still provide a clear sense of the piece. Some of the colours are not fully coming through in the photo, it is lighter in person, but it offers a good overall impression of the work.
