About Me

I am an artist originally from New Zealand, now living and
creating in Sunrise Beach, Noosa. My journey with art began in childhood, where
I found peace in painting the waterfall outside my home. That early connection
to nature stayed with me, growing into a quiet longing to paint again.

At 28, I told my husband I dreamed of becoming an artist. He
built me my first easel, and not long after—pregnant with our first child—I
joined a small local class and painted my first picture. That moment changed
everything. I had found what I was meant to do.

I am self-taught and have spent years exploring a range of
mediums: watercolour, pastel, acrylic, charcoal, pen and ink, and oil. While
I have experimented with many subjects and styles, I always return to nature.
Birds, blossoms, landscapes, sea, and sky — they speak to something deep and quiet
in me.

I spent 10 years in a remote part of Queensland’s Balonne
Shire, where I practiced daily, opened a small gallery, taught children’s
classes, and held my first exhibition. Now, from my studio in Noosa, I continue
to follow this path—creating work that celebrates the beauty and balance found
in the natural world.

I draw inspiration from the old masters, their processes and
techniques, and from the world around me — light on water, the tilt of a bird’s
wing, the soft unfolding of a flower. My work is a quiet offering; a way to
share what I see, feel, and love.

In the Studio

Here, I invite you into my studio: a quiet space of calm energy, a precious retreat where ideas emerge, develop and transform through the creative process.

Every piece begins with a sketch, an idea, or a moment of curiosity—guided by intuition, shaped by discovery, and inspired by wonder and possibility.

In this space, you’ll find works in progress alongside glimpses of my studio—the tools, textures, and surroundings that fuel my inspiration.

Most importantly, this is where the process is just as meaningful as the final artwork.

A gentle reminder that the journey is just as important—and often just as beautiful—as the destination.
