Photographic Inspirations

Special Gratitude to these incredibly talented Photographers.

I have been fortunate to receive permission from a few photographers whose work I deeply admire and respect. Their professionalism, creative vision, and love of nature resonate strongly with me — and most importantly, their kindness and generosity in allowing me to be guided by their images has been a true gift.

When an idea for a painting begins to form, I spend time researching and discovering that one special image which will guide my approach. These photographs are more than references; they are sparks of inspiration that help shape the direction of my art.

It is my intention to honour these talented individuals, their artistry, and their dedication to capturing the natural world. By sharing their work alongside mine, I hope to connect you not only to my paintings but also to the beauty and perspective they bring through the lens.

With gratitude,
Tara Lorel Stower

Caitlin Bell - Lyptus Art

Caitlin's story about this piece.
Down at the bike park with her boys, Caitlin found this beautiful dead tree limb and began taking photos. She was struck by the leaves as they seemed so expressive, almost like they were in flight. This is the piece behind Nocture - my original Oil Painting.
Viewing her post on Instagram I felt the same interpretation. It sparked an intense need to paint these in a night scene with a bird in flight.
I approached Caitlin and after some discussion she most kindly agreed that I may use this image as inspiration for my work. I will be ever most great full to her. As I painted each individual leaf I felt an incredible appreciation and connection to nature.
I would love to share more about Caitlin Bell - Founder of Lyptus Art.
