Layers of Light
Layers of Light
Layers of Light is part of Seasons of Light, a body of work exploring the space between abstraction and nature.
Soft greens and pale blue move through layers of texture and colour, creating a surface that feels weathered, softened and touched by time. Delicate drifting leaves bring a quiet sense of movement, linking the atmospheric background to the natural world.
For me, this work reflects the beauty that can be found in layers — in landscapes, in memory, and in the experiences that shape us over time. Light moves differently across every surface, revealing something new each time we look. There is a sense of calm in that — a reminder that change does not always arrive suddenly; sometimes it appears gently, one layer at a time.
